Paul Mehner began his career as a laserist in 8th grade after constructing a model of Laserium for his science fair project. His project was featured on the Seattle TV show “How Come?” hosted by Hal Wallace and was used in various musical events throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
In 2008, as the price of silicon-based lasers continued to fall, Mehner began accumulating solid-state laser projectors and show software. In 2009, he opened his home and backyard up to friends for an annual party featuring Rush-themed laser animations and beam effects to the music of Rush. This annual event continued to grow in both size and popularity and has now been in operation for 13 years. During the covid shutdown of 2020, Mehner received training and certification as a Laser Safety Officer and purchased new laser projectors with the latest safety features and show software to bring his shows to the professional level you see featured on this site. His show laser projectors are all FDA Variance certified and operated in strict conformance with ILDA safety standards. Mehner has given acclaimed laser performances featuring his custom blend of laser animations and beam effects for well-known bands such as Heart by Heart, Anthem Rush Tribute, and Epic Queen.
Milo Matthews began his laserist training in 2021 and has also received training and certification as a Laser Safety Officer. Milo also brings to the table, his 30yrs of knowledge and experience as a producer and touring muscian. He will be co-coordinator for the 2023 first annual Lasergator festival every August .
